American Friends of TIFF supports the mission of TIFF with a special interest in projects that contribute to the development of American filmmakers and celebrate their achievements, or projects that bring programming to American audiences. Grants since 2007 have supported the following projects:

2015: Andy Warhol: Stars of the Silver Screen

In 2015 American Friends of TIFF provided grant support for TIFF's major exhibition Andy Warhol: Stars of the Silver Screen.

2014: Talent Lab

In 2014, American Friends of TIFF was proud to support the 2014 edition of TIFF Talent Lab.

2013: A Century of Chinese Cinema

After its debut in Toronto, the film program A Century of Chinese Cinema has toured to the UCLA Film & Television Archive in Los Angeles.

2012: Higher Learning

In 2012, American Friends of TIFF made a grant to TIFF in support of their education and outreach programs, including Higher Learning and and Film Craft Workshops.

2011: Education and Outreach Programs

In 2011, American Friends of TIFF made a general grant is support of TIFF's education and outreach programs which serve children, youth, and families.

2008: Film Circuit

In 2008, American Friends of TIFF made a general grant to TIFF in support of its Film Circuit, Reel Comfort, and Special Delivery programs.

2007: TIFF Bell Lightbox

The first major project supported by American Friends of TIFF was the construction of TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto Canada.
